UNSURE OF LEWD DISPLAY - A POEM BY DONOVAN BALDWIN

Unsure of lewd display she turns

To hide the fire which within burns,

Wishing her flames could be set free,

But frightened of her fate if he...

Should see her naked secrets bared,

Oh, what she'd do if she but dared,

The liquor feeds her inner fires,

Sets loose lascivious desires.

Lashed about by inner storms

For him she dances and performs,

Naked goddess of temptation,

Body story, dance narration.

Face flushing and her breasts on fire

As the madness drives her higher,

She falls, he catches, arms around,

At last she knows her freedom's found.

TWO TANKAS BY DONOVAN BALDWIN JULY 28, 2023

PRESENT

A special present

I unwrap button by button

Clothing opening

Falling around her feet

Like Christmas wrapping paper

------

WHISPERS

Naked in the night

Waiting for his messages

Words he gave the wind

His poems which crossed the seas

Dark breeze whispers to her skin

NAKED OUTSIDE OF EDEN

NAKED OUTSIDE OF EDEN
An original poem by Donovan Baldwin

She is a secret thing,
Of fantasy and dream,
Phantom figure in the
Back corners of my mind,
Swirling dancing woman,
Eyes bright with the heat
The music and the fire
The wonder and the wine,
Timeless dancer, her face
Smiling across the flames,
As she dances ancient rituals
The artlessly seductive way
Women have known since
First a man and woman
Desired each other
Naked outside of Eden.

POEM: SHE DANCES OUR LOVE STORY

By: Donovan Baldwin

Sweet music softly coaxed
From old guitars,
Strummed and stroked
Gently
To ancient island rhythms
Of sea and sand,
Wind and wave,
Punctuated by
The cries of a single gull lost,
Somewhere over the black water.
The moon paints a silver pathway
Across the water to this mystic shore,
Where dances,
Swaying slowly,
Provocatively,
In ancient and age old pattern,
A magic woman whose body,
Turns music into movement.
The movement becomes message,
The message a love story...
Ours,
As, with smiling eyes, and sensuous step,
Graceful swirl, reminiscent of
The gentle midnight touches of the sea upon the shore...
She dances only for me
Naked in the sacred light of our moon.

CLAD IN FILMY GOWN, AND OTHER POETRY BY DONOVAN BALDWIN WRITTEN MARCH 6, 2020

By Donovan Baldwin

clad in filmy gown
hints of her secrets showing
smiling at his ache

-----

she unfolds blossoms
sees her lover's wide desire
offers sweet tipped tarts

-----

stripped and naked
such an erotic picture
her entire soul bare

-----

Lovers often bare themselves.
Nakedness is a common state
For the making of love,
The practice, oh so wonderful,
Of sexual pleasures,
Body to body,
Intertwined and
Penetrating,
But,
To truly bare,
All and everything,
To allow exploration,
Penetration,
Of every crevice
That we hide in,
To walk naked into love
Supremely confident,
Poised and proud,
Because we need never hide,
Be ashamed,
Not only with the one we love,
But the one who truly loves us,
Is the ultimate in making love,
Physically, mentally, emotionally,
With the whole, true, and entire
Persons that we are.

-----

the rise of your breast
tells me of hidden desires
embers in your eyes

-----

flower is open
and i inquisitive bee
seek her sweet nectar

-----

power in the skies
bright undulating lightning
crashing of the storm

-----

discretely naked
she thinks he cannot love me
he enters and does

-----

the girls are all gone
and frankly i am happy
women are better

SLOWLY ROSE THE MOON, AND OTHER POEMS BY DONOVAN BALDWIN WRITTEN MARCH 5, 2020

By Donovan Baldwin

slowly rose the moon
illuminated my love
waiting my embrace

-----

bright in the moonlight
her naked body aglow
she waits for her love

-----

with one fleeting touch
i could write love passages
to leave you breathless

-----

drop your last clothing
stroll seductively to me
blow out the candle

-----

speak our fantasies
in ways i can understand
poems on your lips

-----

a birthday party
cake and ice cream us naked
wearing funny hats

-----

call the world beauty
for that is its natural state
if you've eyes to see

-----

my impatient heart
longs for you while we're apart
writes words on the wind

-----

your warmth in my arms
body tight pressed to body
intimate kisses

-----

my eyes touch her all
caressing in their passing
seeing what's not shown

-----

restless knowing eyes
matron's mature breast pulses
on love's precipice

-----

water down her body
in wet curves pouring off her
arousing contours

POEMS AND HAIKU WRITTEN BY DONOVAN BALDWIN, JANUARY 14, 2020

The naked flower
Blushes not at
Its being bare,
For that is a
Sharing of its
Beauty,
The purpose
It was created for.
It blushes at
The happy joy
And ardent love
Upon the face
Of the gardener,
Who loves it
So intently.

-----

cannot help sadness
it's a part of who i am
wait for it to pass

-----

and still it flows this
stream of time and memory
which hides the future

-----

pounded by the surf
awash in sensual tides
open ecstasy

-----

Perhaps the sky has made me gray today
Painted me with today's dawn colors
Of mist and smoke, left me wanting
The true rising of the sun,
My favored glows and growing
Pinks and purples and burning golds,
Which give way to bright blue skies
And a few floating clouds for accent.

-----

i'm walking talking
scattering my ideas
in all directions

-----

see with my glad eyes
the vision you are to me
and smile as you do

-----

voices pass away
into old realities
born new memories

-----

kiss me till i tire
whenever that may occur
in some distant age

POEMS WRITTEN JANUARY 2, 2020 BY DONOVAN BALDWIN

i'll find love today
in the place i always do
within your embrace

-----

show me your words babe
naked thoughts upon the stage
stripped down and open

-----

our pages touching
loving livre de chevet
each word a caress

(livre de chevet = bedside book)

-----

let's write together
a love story to be banned
too hot to handle

-----

Draw lovers naked
For if clothed,
They must still show
All that they are
To the other,
Expect to see
Everything
When they gaze upon
Their loved one.
No secrets or veils
No shame or
Embarrassment
Between true lovers.
Show them naked,
For naked they
Should always be.

-----

I gaze across the Texas prairie,
Stretching westward to infinity,
Or at least New Mexico,
Under the rolling gray clouds.
I've traveled beneath those clouds,
Or at least, their brethren,
In so many parts of the world,
The soft, billowing gray clouds,
Which should be sad,
Or at least, you'd think they were,
For I could travel forever
Gladly within their
Stormy promise of adventure.

-----

dying candle light
the rising of morning sun
smiles of remembrance

-----

Black deserted streets,
Shining wetly in moonlight,
Bright white snow on rooftops
And treetops,
Golden glow of windows
Upon the silent pathway,
The sounds of laughter,
Zither music and song
Spilling out like a
Motion picture postcard,
As a lonely soldier,
Thousands of miles from home,
Saved the memory for later.

-----

my words are flowers
i'll cover you with petals
tenderly fragrant

-----

michelangelo
i stand in admiration
in reverent awe

-----

Leaves which died
In Autumn,
So bravely and
So beautifully
Brilliant in
Their livery of
Golds and reds,
Now lie,
Dead soldiers,
Drab brown and gray,
Like photographs
From older wars,
In the cold pools,
Of nature's tears,
To be recalled only
In verse and photo,
Reminders of
Forgotten adventures.

POEMS, COMMENTS, AND HAIKU BY DONOVAN BALDWIN, SEPTEMBER 22, 2019

Speak those words to me,
The ones so long held within,
Kept captive in your breast
For fear of censure upon
Your baring of desire.
Speak, love, I command,
Those words to me,
For I would know every truth,
Having you beautiful and naked
In both my arms and heart.

-----

no preconceptions
be whoever you must be
that's who i would love

-----

taste of smoothest cream
eat her delicious dessert
hard sweet cherry treat

-----

tribal memory
ancient stories of lovers
woven in our lives

-----

desert oasis
in the heat and emptiness
you cool my fever

-----

i gladly enter
into the divine abyss
of a woman's love

-----

erotic flavor
your taste lingers in my mouth
after your flower's kiss

-----

pressing against me
imprinting yourself on me
marked by my woman

-----

lacy filigree
soft hair surrounding your face
frame to work of art

POEMS, COMMENTS, AND HAIKU BY DONOVAN BALDWIN, SEPTEMBER 19, 2019

in your honeyed realm
entranced by dripping petals
thirsting for your love

-----

your mouth unwraps me
sweet words strip my concealment
lover left naked

-----

When words begin to come
They are driven by the winds
Blowing from some secret land
An island by the sea where
Lovers, we, walk hand in hand
Appraising sunsets, and,
The sand beneath our feet,
Stopping to exchange kisses
And caresses in the warm surf
At the edge of our own world.

-----

your lips to my lips
your soft sweet nectar soothing
insatiable thirst

-----

tantalizing tongue
offers more than poetry
at touching moments

POETRY AND HAIKU BY DONOVAN BALDWIN, AUGUST19, 2019

I will not fix you,
For you are not broken.
You see yourself that way,
But, I do not.
Bent?
Yes, perhaps.
Battered, bruised...
As we all are to some extent.
Our uniqueness deceives us.
We are different,
Yet, in our unique way,
And, in that way,
We are the same.

-----

forgive my desire
showing me your naked mind
is so seductive

-----

so much fire in you
flames you hide afraid to show
i can feel your heat

-----

your skin upon mine
lovers' natural embrace
body to body

more intimacy
beyond sexual actions
absorbing, sharing

our aching desires
withheld, this moment's pleasures,
gains us ecstasy

-----

naughty lad i am
yet, that's who I am and stay
no fun otherwise

-----

how much do i love?
i would give up even you
to make you happy.

-----

don't mess with coffee
for me just beans and water
a touch of sweetness

-----

aroused by sunrise
turning to your warm embrace
wakening touches

-----

walking hand in hand
hip to hip... our bodies pass
sly loving touches

-----

blinded by beauties
perhaps only i can see
as real as others

-----

with all my senses
your touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound
fill myself with you

-----
