LOVE'S MOST NATURAL TOUCHES - A POEM BY DONOVAN BALDWIN

The raw beauty of nature's embrace

Hot sunlight on her bare skin,

The intimate touch of leaves and wind,

And the sensual caresses of rain.

Her emotions run wild with the

Captivating pleasures that

Transport her to a world,

Where, touched by natural words,

She responds as if to

Love's most natural touches.

AWAITING BLONDEL, AND OTHER POEMS BY DONOVAN BALDWIN, WRITTEN APRIL 12, 2020

By Donovan Baldwin

AWAITING BLONDEL

A writer's self banishment,
Poet walled within his mind,
Pacing restlessly back and forth,
Measuring the dimensions of his cell,
Where to fit on stones and into corners
Memories of brightness and laughter,
Tumbled images glimpsed momentarily,
Between his bars of solitude,
Awaiting the song of an itinerant minstrel,
Come to ransom him, and take him home.

NOTE: One legend is, first narrated in the 13th century, that he played a part in the discovery and release of King Richard I of England from his imprisonment (1192–94) by the Holy Roman emperor Henry VI. Supposedly, according to legend, he traveled the countryside singing part of a song he and Richard had written, and found where Richard was held when he heard him sing part of the song back.
-----

slow dance in moonlight
barely move but to caress...
body to body

-----

my mind reaches out
intangible caresses...
somewhere she blushes

-----

her colorful soul
shining bright with light and love...
hidden for so long

-----

sacred demeter
goddess of fertility...
kneel at her altar

-----

When alone in the woods
As the moon plays tricks with
Light and shadow among the trees
And the wind makes darkness
Come alive in sight and sound,
I find it easily understood how
Our ancient ancestors created
Myth and legend peopled with
Strange creatures glimpsed,
Or so they uncertainly believed,
But not understood, and deities,
Created from wisps of imagination,
Gods and goddesses crippled with
The fearsome frailties of man.

-----

neath tree's umbrella
lovers hiding in the rain...
sharing wet kisses

-----

call me elixir
fill yourself with my sweet love...
until it's my turn

-----

arms wrapped around you
kissing the back of your neck...
your sigh asks for more

-----

cursive from nib pen
meaty words weightier than...
ball point capitals

-----

contemplative pause
dawn's cup lifted to my lips...
night flees with my dreams

-----

DID LEDA ONLY DREAM, AND OTHER POEMS BY DONOVAN BALDWIN WRITTEN MARCH 21, 2020

By Donovan Baldwin

Did Leda only dream
Of the god who ravished her,
Or was there a man
Who had his way,
A story told later
To account for
Indiscreet activities,
Or perhaps it all was
Just a dream,
Evenings of lonely pleasure,
Morphed into mythology.

-----

petals in the breeze
touches such soft caresses
fingers lips on skin

-----

if we had good sense
were truly spock logical
we would not know love

-----

in dreams of leda
lover with the softest touch
a godlike rapture

-----

unlock your secrets
time to live your fantasies
and fascinate me

-----

wordless messages
so full of loving feelings
from my heart to yours

-----

carved from pure marble
lightly clad nymph emerges
seducing mortals

-----

reading the dark words
as the paper curls turns black
in orange flames

-----

center of the rose
so blushing with modesty
tickled to be seen

-----

my lady sculptress
molding me to meet her needs
putty in her hands

-----

she brushes my lips
with the softest of petals
honey fills my mouth

WINE AND POETRY, AND OTHER POEMS WRITTEN BY DONOVAN BALDWIN, MARCH 15, 2020

By Donovan Baldwin

wine and poetry
read in the moon's silver light...
our kind of orgy

-----

afraid to shock me
i'll be more shocked and surprised
if you can't share truth

-----

slow playful kisses
hug becomes its own caress
love felt all over

-----

so quickly i fell
charmed by her carnal caress
her manifest love

-----

lost in her loving
i cannot contain myself
groaning with pleasure

-----

love one another
kisses caresses firm strokes...
same when we're apart

-----

her glistening lips
parted in pleasure longing...
an absent lover

-----

please don't be shy
woman in her prime of life
should do all with pride

-----

rising of venus
to satyr's enticing pipe
ecstatic goddess

-----

indulgent foreplay
true lovers with a mission
limitless passion

-----

when not together
we do without each other
not without pleasure

-----

dancing with the spheres
spread across the universe
like two shooting stars

-----

loving fingers play
amorous orchestrations...
applause and encore

FROM A MIST OF DREAMS, AND OTHER POEMS BY DONOVAN BALDWIN WRITTEN FEBRUARY 24, 2020

By Donovan Baldwin

from a mist of dreams
coalescing form takes shape
glides into my arms

-----

i fall to my knees
prepared to pay homage to
my carnal huntress

-----

her earthy desires
whispered boldly in my ear
mine to help come true

-----

always the lady
as she discretely fulfills
lascivious needs

-----

relaxed and ready
wearing an inviting smile
seductive repose

-----

featherlike touches
soft sensuous caresses
deeply arousing

-----

uncontrollable
two lusty lovers on fire
feverish thrusting

MAKE LOVE AT LOW TIDE, AND OTHER HAIKU BY DONOVAN BALDWIN WRITTEN FEBRUARY 16, 2020

By Donovan Baldwin

made love at low tide
caressed by waves coming in
rolling on the sand

-----

wearing but my words
she brings me her responses
with lustful passion

-----

she's caught unaware
a most urgent storm rises
as i kiss her there...

-----

dreams of caresses
tantalizing kisses fade
with dawn's arrival

-----

held within our arms
penetrated by our love
sharing ecstasy

-----

intimate kisses
bare bodies and souls caress
unlimited touch

-----

touches and kisses
love echoing back and forth
without an ending

-----

as i caress you
place your hand upon my heart
beating happily

-----

speak no careless words
lest they be reality
which lasts forever

-----

i search her secrets
uncover erotic clues
elementary!

-----

writing about you
poet unable to put
his love into words

-----

favorite caress
our full body naked skin
in total contact

-----

over open lips
love's liquid flowed then swallowed
delightfully warm

-----

your eyes two deep pools
so deceptively quiet
flashing with passion

-----

your hidden secrets
i can spy behind your words
exciting woman

-----

you should be ashamed
or so your mind speaks to you
i say otherwise

-----

arching of your back
quivering of your body
your exultant gasp

POEMS WRITTEN JANUARY 3, 2020 BY DONOVAN BALDWIN

it's so transparent
the gown i picture you in
i can see your love

-----

As poet I have neither
Morality or scruples
Time nor direction
Nor other limiting
Dimensions which
Constrain or restrain
For I must put down
Naked emotion and desire
In trust that each reader
Will understand my
Poetic lusts
And forgive me
My innocent sins.

-----

place my words on you
guide them instead of my hands
to give you pleasure

-----

and if she craves more
still has not been satisfied
i'll be there for her

-----

i decorate you
most immodestly in ways
to inflame desires

-----

our eager bodies
tangled within silken sheets
let's sin together

-----

between our touches
beneath tender caresses
we become lovers

-----

how feral it feels
this desire for your touches
hot animal pleasure

-----

old lips not cold lips
loving experienced hands
and a well trained heart

-----

you ripple through me
unending force of nature
blending our beings

-----

I left you alone too long,
Too lonely alone too long,
And coming home,
I found you did things
Without me.
And I was
Embarrassed,
Afraid I had hurt you,
But, you looked at me,
Invited me to join you,
And I did,
And you did it alone
Together with me,
And I never left you alone,
Too long again,
Because it was more fun
Doing it with you,
Everything.

-----

dance of your blossom
entices this humble bee
craving your honey
