STORIES I CAN'T TELL, AND OTHER RANDOM MICROPOETRY BY DONOVAN BALDWIN - OCTOBER 12, 2025

DONOVAN BALDWIN - POET |
times that you and i made love
in secret places
-----
i've so many words
i can use to describe you
how you make me feel
-----
if you only knew
how many times every day
i try to find you
-----
when she's all alone
a time for private pleasures
solo adventures
-----
as i stand exposed
her fingers seek to mold me
as if i were clay
-----
touch me just one time
as if you meant to please me
make me feel wanted
-----
words a silken gown
rustling across her bare skin
causing arousal
-----
hold me just one time
make me feel that i belong
for a while at least
-----
singing our love songs
neath a silent silver moon
revealing secrets
-----
naked in the night
lovers turn their skins silver
moonbathe together
------
weaving with my words
translucent gown for my love
to touch her for me
-----
lonely without you
echoing in heart and mind
my words so empty
-----
licking sinful lips
she's mellow with a slow burn
a honeyed vodka
-----
Alone in the dark on Gibraltar,
As her courage began to falter,
Then a monkey she met,
Became more than a pet,
-----
People think they're doing good
By being nice to me
I know it's just a subterfuge,
So they feel good, you see.
No one's ever wanted me,
Much less to be nearby,
Through all my many failures,
Give comfort as I cry.
I've never known what love is,
That feeling so sublime,
That someone loving me can give,
It's never been my time.
Each day has been a lonely thing,
In night's darkness so alone,
Never finally fell at peace,
Except when life has gone.
-----
she's dressed for the office
but her mind is somewhere else
nakedly exposed
-----
Pumpkins in the fall,
To Isabella do call,
Earth tones abound,
Falling leaves all around,
-----
i cannot help it
you awaken my old sins
and present desires
-----
life has come to this
ancient wreck of words and deeds
on the rocks of time
-----
