I WILL WRITE FOR YOU, AND OTHER POEMS, AUGUST 10, 2024, BY DONOVAN BALDWIN

 i will write for you

as long as you find my words

pathways to pleasure

-----

poet or medium

words sentences paragraphs

fighting to be heard

-----

Do you know what tinnitus is?

It's a constant hum or buzz in the ear that can drive you crazy.

I have that AND a tinnitus of words.

Words are mixed with images, poured into sentences, paragraphs, and poetry.

ADHD slams and jams them together then out the door.

24/7/365

A constant clamor of creation with orgasmic bursts of nativity...

Not under my control... much...

No rest for the poet.

I awaken at 2AM and it's happening.

I take the dog out at 6 AM and it's happening.

Even now.

-----

soft but not fragile

a most delicate beauty

my beloved's soul

-----

naked by desire

naked to her poet's mind

naked to the world

-----

moonlit lovers joined

on love's cerulean sea

one silver wonder

-----

if our tight embrace

could be made much tighter still

bodies become one

-----

words thrust deep inside

release seminal meanings

give birth to desires

-----

i know i should stop

leave this love of love behind

that's also called death

-----

no set agenda

except love and poetry

I've written for you

-----

in secret daydreams

departs bound for decadence

transit fantasy

-----

i love you so much

your pleasure is my desire

in all that you choose

-----

am i concerned with

who and what and how you love

only that you are loved

-----

you were never mine

nor were you and i meant to be

except in poems

-----

sad old cyrano

roxanne will only learn his love

when death comes for him

-----

the morning after

the sins didn't seem like sins

but more like blessings

-----

how long i have longed

waiting for the you you are

to become my muse

-----

soft gentle maiden

warrior princess in leather

depends on who holds her

-----

the shutter captures

her most daring exposure

photographer sighs
